A 7,300 + square foot improvement, on 2.56 acres of land located just off I-20 at exit 185. The Seller, Richard Alan Gray Trust, represented by Ashley Farrell with NAI Chase Commercial, and the Buyer, SP, LLC, represented by Trish Rushing with Red Rock Realty Group, who is working on plans to redevelop the property.

“Exit 185 is undergoing redevelopment and a flurry of new construction: this purchase will help in that effort and give the consumers of Anniston/Oxford area more options” said Ashley Farrell when asked about the significance of the sale. “This sale is the latest of several recent major transactions we’ve represented in the Alabama market, demonstrating the continued demand for commercial space.”

NAI Chase Commercial Real Estate Represents $1,335,000 Sale of Three Level Historical Building at 408 Bank Street, Decatur, AL on Behalf of Maple Run, LLC

Huntsville, AL –  June 16, 2021 – NAI Chase Commercial Real Estate an office of NAI Global, a leading global commercial real estate brokerage firm, announced today that Douglas A. McCullough and his team represented the sale of 408 Bank Street, Decatur, AL.  A three-level historical building, built in 1922 as Decatur’s first Post Office was acquired by Maple Run, LLC and home to Magnolia River.  The buyer was represented by MarMac Real Estate, Shane Odom.  NAI Chase Commercial, Douglas A. McCullough, Ashley Farrell and Jordan Marshall Greene represented the seller.

“This beautifully maintained historic property was a real treat to show and tour.  The local history of the property and of the architect of record, Mr. Plato, offered a refreshing set of topics to present from” said Doug McCullough of NAI Chase. “Almost everyone who toured the building was deeply impressed with its character and how well cared for the property is.  Maple Run took great pride in the time they owned the facility and made the transaction a true pleasure. The property is listed on the national historic registry and was built in 1920.   Once home to the Decatur post office – the property contains approximately 12,300 SF and is now used as office space occupied by Magnolia River and sold as an investment.
